Halloween is just around the corner, which means tons of festive events are popping up all over the city. Whether you’re looking for something family-friendly or a little spookier, you’ll find it in Vancouver. From a haunted maze to a spooky walking tour, check out the top three ways to celebrate Halloween in Vancouver this year.
REAPER’S MAZE OF TERROR
Reaper’s Maze of Terror at Fantasy Farms in Chilliwack is back for another thrilling year! This fan favourite event is running on select dates leading up to October 31st. However, it’s important to note that Reaper’s Maze of Terror is for horror enthusiasts only. The event is truly terrifying so if you’re looking for something family-friendly, this isn’t it. Tickets range from $20 to $25 and can be purchased online.
FORBIDDEN VANCOUVER WALKING TOURS
Enjoy a haunted ghost tour this Halloween in downtown Vancouver. Forbidden Vancouver Walking Tours is the premier tour company in the city. Their experienced guides will take you through Gastown, Stanley Park, the West End, and downtown Vancouver, to share with you the secrets of the city’s past. You can expect storytelling, live theatre, and a whole lot of history. Forbidden Vancouver Walking Tours are available throughout the year, but Halloween is a particularly popular time so we recommend booking in advance. Tours are suitable for those 14 years of age and up.
BURNABY’S HAUNTED VILLAGE
Another popular Lower Mainland Halloween attraction? Burnaby’s Haunted Village. While free in the summer, access to Burnaby Village costs $10 during the spooky season owing to their annual Halloween event. The outdoor museum offers trick-or-treating, carousel rides, characters in costume, and ghost displays. This year’s event is called Eerie Illusions and runs from October 22nd until the 31st.
ERIC CHURCH CONCERT
American country singer Eric Church is headed to Vancouver this month as part of his Gather Again tour. The concert is scheduled to take place at Rogers Arena on October 29th at 8:00 pm and tickets are available now. And given that we’re located near Rogers Arena (just over 5 minutes on foot), the Hotel BLU Vancouver is the perfect home base for you to enjoy the show.
If you plan on visiting Vancouver this Halloween, then be sure to partake in any of the activities above. And if you need a place to stay during your visit, you’re always welcome at the Hotel BLU Vancouver. We combine luxe amenities and a cozy atmosphere with an unbeatable location.
