What To Do in Vancouver This Winter

Just because the temperatures have dipped doesn’t mean there isn’t still plenty to do in Vancouver. From the city’s largest culinary festival, Dine Out Vancouver, to Canucks games at Rogers Arena and a whole slew of Valentine’s Day events, we recommend taking full advantage of all that Vancouver has to offer this winter.
DINE OUT VANCOUVER
Dine Out Vancouver returns for 2022, and this year they’re celebrating 20 years of culinary enchantment. As per usual, the organization has partnered with hundreds of local eateries to offer exclusive discounted menus for two whole weeks in January. Kicking off January 14th and lasting until the 30th, don’t miss this ultimate foodie event. Participants in Dine Out Vancouver 2022 include A. Bento, Afghan Horsemen Restaurant, Banana Leaf Malaysian Cuisine, and Yuu Japanese Tapas.
VANCOUVER CANUCKS AT THE ROGERS ARENA
The Canucks are back, and what better way to get through the winter than by attending a game in person? The city’s most beloved hockey team has plenty of home games in the coming months, including a game against the St. Louis Blues on January 23rd, against the Edmonton Oilers on January 25th, and against the Calgary Flames on February 24th.
VALENTINE’S DAY
Valentine’s Day is upon us and luckily, there are plenty of ways to celebrate in Vancouver. You and your partner can spend it at a party on a yacht, sipping on hot cocoa courtesy of the Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival, hitting the slopes at nearby Grouse or Cypress, or enjoying an intimate dinner at any one of the city’s top restaurants. We also recommend booking a romantic staycation for two at a local hotel, like the Hotel BLU Vancouver.
If you’re going to be in Vancouver this winter, then be sure to enjoy the activities and events above. And if you need a place to stay during your trip, know that you’re always welcome at the Hotel BLU Vancouver. We combine luxurious amenities and a comfortable atmosphere with a prime location in North Vancouver.
