What To Do in Vancouver This March

Looking for something fun to do in Vancouver this month? Look no further! Check out three, must-attend events happening in Van City this March.

IMAGINE VAN GOGH

Take part in what is surely one of the most highly anticipated art exhibitions coming to Vancouver in 2021. Kicking off March 19 and lasting until June 11, Imagine Van Gogh is an immersive art exhibit where visitors will be able to wander through larger than life projections of some of Vincent Van Gogh’s most famous works. The travelling exhibit has been all over Europe and Canada, and will call the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre home for three whole months. Ticket prices range from $34.99 to $99.99 and are on sale now.

#LOVEVANCOUVER BUBBLES

Tourism Vancouver has launched an outdoor interactive art installation called #LoveVancouver Bubbles. The transparent, illuminated bubbles will be lit up every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening all month long. On Friday nights, live dancers will also be performing. The #LoveVancouver Bubbles will rotate between three locations: Lot 19, located between W Hastings St. and W Cordova St. at the foot of Hornby St., the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Courtyard at 1000 Burrard St., and Bute and Alberni Plaza. This unique art installation is the perfect spot to go for a stroll and snap some Instagram-worthy pics.

COASTAL FIRST NATIONS DANCE FESTIVAL

The Dancers of Damelahamid’s Coastal First Nations Dance Festival is always a highlight. However, this year, the festival is doing things a little bit differently due to COVID-19. Instead of an in-person event, the 2021 edition of the Coastal First Nations Dance Festival will take place virtually between March 12 and 18. One event not to miss is the world premiere of a new dance performed by the Dancers of Damelahamid in honour of the late Margaret Harris (Harris was the founder of the dance group behind the event).

If you’re visiting Vancouver this March, then be sure to attend any of the events above. And if you’re in need of a place to stay during your visit, we’d love to host at the Hotel BLU Vancouver. We combine luxury amenities, an unbeatable location, and affordable rates.
